Das erste Masterprojekt steht unter dem Thema Blind. Für jemanden, der nicht wie die meisten Menschen, das Glück hat seine Umgebung und die Lebewesen um sich herum sehen zu können, ist die Welt eine ganz andere als unsere. Wir nennen sie die Blinden, sie “sehen” mit ihren anderen Sinnen wie den Ohren, aber besonders mit den Händen. Durch ihren Tastsinn zeichnen sie ihr ganz eigenes Bild von der Welt. Jede unbekannte Situation ist für sie wie ein leeres Blatt Papier, solange bis sie in ihrer Umgebung ein Geräusch wahrnehmen oder einen Gegenstand berühren. Erst dann entsteht ein “Bild” vor ihrem inneren Auge. Durch den Einsatz von haptisch interessanten Materialien entwickelt sich eine Kollektion, die den Tastsinn der Blinden fordert. Die Reduzierung des Farbkonzepts auf helle Farbnuancen wie ecru, crème und hellrosa versinnbildlicht die alltägliche Situationen der Blinden und die Idee des leeren Blattes Papier wird wiedergegeben.

The first master project is under the theme Blind. For someone who doesn’t have the luck to see his surroundings and the creatures around him like most people can, the world is quite different from our. We call them the blind, they „see“ with their other senses like the ears, but especially with their hands. Through their sense of touch they draw their very own picture of the world. Any unknown situation is for them like a blank sheet of paper, until they perceive a sound in their environment or touch an object which is around. Not till then a „picture“ is created in front of their inner eye. By the use of haptic interesting materials a collection is developed which challenges the sense of touch from the blind. To reduce the colour concept of bright shades like ecru, creme and light pink the everyday situation of the blind is symbolized and the idea of the blank sheet of paper is reproduced.
